Capt.
Terry Haun - Rip Tide Charters & Hunting Service The recent stormy weather has kept
me from fishing offshore. We were running short on meat, so Thursday
night I went hog hunting. I waited until the moon came up about
11:30 and walked to the blind in the moonlight, careful to use the
light only when necessary. I spooked some deer near the feeder.
Those deer snorted loudly, probably scaring all the game away, or
so I thought. I climbed into the blind. The light breeze was coming
from the feeder, perfect. After about a 15 minute wait a small hog,
about 50 pounds, walked up to the barrel feeder and started bumping
it around. I wanted a big hog, so I watched as the pig fought the
feeder for corn. |
