Pictured is Wayne McLane with a 40", 30 lb. plus, red fish caught on a soft plastic bait in West Matagorda Bay while fishing with Capt. Don Wood. Took pictures and was released to fight again. October 1, 2011..... Fishing with Capt. Don Wood are Rick Fraser, Clint Laird, and Erick. Fish were caught in the Colorado River on live shrimp. Ten keeper trout and lots of unsize trout and reds. Pictured with the "NO TAIL" Redfish is Clint. Clint caught STUBBY, which we released.

The fish were caught in East Matagorda Bay fishing with live shrimp while drifting over scattered shell. We had a southwest wind and the water was very off-color. We caught and released several large gafftop and under-size specks.
